I've realized that if I put aside $6 every day, I will have $6,000 after 3 years plus the $100 a year I want to donate to charity.

I've started actually doing it in addition to saving all my spare change. Some days I put more into the pot, sometimes less, but the action of actively saving money has me encouraged. Right now I have about $300 already and I haven't even been doing it for that long!
