Fulbright

I applied for a Fulbright Grant for the 2008-2009 school year to work on women's issues in Kyoto, Japan. Although I didn't get the grant, going through the application process made me more familiar with what it takes to get a project like this approved, and I think that I will be more able, in the future, to put together a decent proposal.

I also realized that just getting a grant isn't enough; you have to be working on something you're sincerely interested in doing, so next time I'm going to identify the project then find funding instead of finding funding and creating a project around it.
